February 2014 A Magical Family Time in Narnia 5/5 We head from the coast into the "snowy world" (as our kids call it) of interior British Columbia each winter for a one-week ski trip. Although we've tried a variety of mountains, we've most often chosen Silver Star because it's got everything a big ski resort offers in terms of terrain and activities, yet somehow feels more magical and family friendly, with its x-country trails intersecting the downhill runs, surrounded by beautiful forest/parkland, and its magical village with multi-coloured chalets. We recently found our best accommodation there yet in "Narnia" - that's ideally located for ski-in/ski-out or catching the free shuttle bus (we parked our vehicle in their garage and didn't need it the rest of the week). It's beautiful and spacious inside with a terrific kitchen, large and very comfortable beds, a bunk room for kids, and all the amenities to keep two families with kids happy when relaxing. The owners provided all the info we needed in a timely fashion and were clearly committed to providing a very clean and well-maintained luxury accommodation. The combination of fresh powder falling almost every day, great ski runs, and such a beautiful, comfortable, and well-located chalet made for a very magical family time.
