Capileira Accommodations

Capileira is the highest and most northerly of the three villages in the gorge of the Poqueira river in the La Alpujarra district of the province of Granada, in Spain. It has developed a significant tourist trade, acting as a center for walking and for accessing the mountains especially Mulhacén, generally treated as a two-day climb from Capileira.     The house is situated in the upper part of a small mountain village. It has a large hallway, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the ground floor, a living room with open kitchen and a small bathroom on the first floor. It is furnished in a comfortable way and with all modern conveniences. Perfect for 4 guest but can hold up to 6. There is an extra sleeping mattress (width 135 cm) available, to be used in any indoor space or on the rooftop (sleeping porch). The house has two spacious terraces, one adjoining the living room (French doors), the other on the rooftop. Both terraces provide spectacular views over the lower part of the village and over the Sierra Nevada and Alpujarras. The small square on which the house is situated is car free.
