The house was designed for private family vacations and takes full advantage of the lake and its fabulous scenery. It is accessed directly by a public road which is open all year round. The cottage has large public areas (kitchen, dining and great rooms) which create a relaxing feeling and open onto a large deck overlooking the lake, with patio furniture and a barbecue. There are 4 bedrooms (3 doubles and 1 with large bunk beds) and 2.5 bathrooms. There is a basement boat room, which can also be used as a garage and storage area with a pool table. Full heating and air cooling system, with fans in all rooms. The cottage has its own well.

Main cottage brand new in 2010, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, large bedrooms, breezy and cool on hot days. Windows from all sides, you feel like you are on a boat. Lovely trees, wildlife abounds: osprey, bald eagles, gray herons, beavers, otters, weasels, occasionally deer and fish of course. Island is low to water, easy access to/from water. Docks hold plenty of boats. Ideal for entertaining, lovely outside space, sundowners from muskoka chairs. We have most dinners outside on the large picnic table. In a very quiet part of the lake, yet only 5-7 min from the Stoney Lake action. Nearby Juniper Island boasts: tennis club (2 courts,) kids learn-to-sail program (CYA) recreational and racing sailing club (SLYC,) 100+ yr old Juniper Island Store for home-made breakfasts and lunches, scooped ice cream, freezies etc, penny candy, swimming lessons, paddling lessons, square dancing to the live fiddling with the Leahy's on Wed nights, Fri night movies, kid and family central. Fabulous 100 yr old maintained and preserved heritage buildings. It all must be seen and experienced to be believed. Weekends boast: local sailing races, competitive sailing regattas, adult square dancing, the art show in Aug, a music/talent night and much more. Or stay home and enjoy the privacy. Cottage is beautifully appointed, with piles of inside seating, art, stainglass windows. Swimming is deep off the rock on the north island with swim dock and ladder or take a dip before bed off the long dock on the main island. Paddling in the area is gorgeous, canoe provided. Parking on closeby on mainland. Only 2 hrs drive to Toronto, 20 minutes into town (Lakefield) for all amenities.

    A 3 bedroom private furnished cottage, open Apr till Oct 31st. It is a 3 minute drive to the town of Kincardine. A 4 minute walk the to the sandy child friendly shore of Lake Huron. The beach is gradual, great for kids. Inside the cottage, you will find all you need to make your stay a memorable one. You just need to bring your own bedding and beach towels. There is lots of space to relax, due to the open concept. The cottage is heated by hydro which is included in the cost. We also have a wood burning fire place that you can use. There is a TV and DVD player. Outside on the patio, you can have a BBQ while taking in the peacefulness of nature around you. Due to the fact we are on a dead end road, there is not a lot of noise to bug you, while you are trying to distress. Down at the beach in the evening you can check out our world famous sunsets. In town there is a Sobeys that is open 24/7 and many other shops and sites for you to check out. In the summer on a Saturday night at 8:00 pm the Scottish piper band marches down main street and folk follow behind them. And then you can stop at the ice cream shop and get an ice cream cone. See you all there.
