Evesham Accommodations

The County of Gloucestershire is where fantasy comes to life. Within one hour’s drive of Evesham, Harry Potter fans will recognize the setting of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry upon visiting Gloucester Cathedral. Staying in a vacation rental instead of a hotel will offer you personalized accommodation to enjoy the natural beauty of the Cotswolds, which is divided into the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire Cotswolds, Herefordshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.

The Vale of Evesham, the fruit and vegetable basket of England, is found in the County of Worcestershire. It is here that you will discover the medieval market town of Evesham, situated on a horse-shoe shaped peninsula within the River Avon, a popular recreation area of fishing, boating and leisurely walks. For your holiday in England, stay in vacation rentals that bring you back in time, yet have all the modern amenities you require to make your holiday home lodging a comfortable place to be with family or friends. On a tranquil Sunday afternoon, from June to September, enjoy the music performed on Abbey Park’s Victorian bandstand. Wake up early and prepare breakfast in your vacation rental. Sit out in the garden of your accommodations for afternoon tea.

What could be lovelier than taking a nostalgic day trip on the steam train of the Severn Valley Railway? Stop at one of the “olde world” stations along the way and then get on board to explore more of the picturesque countryside of the Kidderminster area of North Worcestershire. See the moat-surrounded Harvington Hall. An ancient custom is enacted in the Chantry of St. Mary’s and all Saints Church in Kidderminster –a church built of stone, with superb stained glass windows, in the 15th and 16th centuries. The Church Street supper, also known as the “peace and good neighbours supper”, was for the purpose of settling any differences that the male neighbours living on Church Street may have had. It is held each Mid-Summers day.

For a family-day adventure, visit the West Midland Safari Park. Enjoy one of the 27 rides, including the thrilling rides with exotic names such as: Venom Tower Drop, Rhino Rollercoaster, or the Zambezi Water Splash. Take a safari tour and see the Southern white rhinos, Asian water buffalo and the magnificent tigers. The rich history of the art of weaving textiles is to be found in the County of Oxfordshire Cotswolds. There is a family-run woolen-blanket making business in the town of Witney that began over 200 years ago.

A visit to the Cotswolds would not be complete without visiting the “gateway to the West Country” – the 3,500 square kilometers of the rural County of Wiltshire. Here you will find the mysterious world-famous ancient stone circle of Stonehenge. Herefordshire is England’s most rural county. Be inspired by the cottage-style and formal gardens and take a glimpse into past times. Explore the peaceful market towns of Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Bromyard, Leominster and Kington. Visit the enchanting Cotswolds for your captivating holidays in England.

In the words of a former guest; This was our first visit to London, and we were looking for a comfortable and economical place to stay with our two adult children. Communication with the owner was excellent, and she did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. The home is neat, clean, comfortable for four adults in need of three bedrooms, and in a quiet Harrow neighborhood northwest of central London. The owner's sister-in-law, met us at the home and drove us around the neighborhood to show us where to find things. We arrived following a red-eye flight, and found that she had already procured items for our breakfast...A very nice touch. The owner stayed in contact with us during our stay to make sure everything met our needs. The home is equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, wireless Internet access (critical for our children), television, and very comfortable beds. There was no night noise issue, and we never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. There is, however, a fast train to north central London which allowed us to quickly access all the sights (15 minute trip). The train station is about a mile away and can readily be accessed by walking or by buses from stops about 1/4 mile away. If you are seeking a cost-effective abode for a London visit and don't mind having to do a little traveling to get to the sites, this home provides an excellent option. Excellent option.
