Guanacaste Vacation Rentals - Condo, Villa & Home Accommodations

Book your next vacation rental in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. Located in the northwestern corner of Costa Rica, this region is found on the Pacific Ocean, and is just South of Guatemala. This region is the least populated of all provinces in Costa Rica; however this makes it no less a great destination to find excellent accommodations of vacation rentals and condo rentals. The capital city is Liberia, with other key cities being Cañas and Nicoya. The name of the region comes from the Guanacaste tree, which is the national tree of the country. It is also known as the ear pod tree.

The climate in the region differs from other areas of Costa Rica. There is little rain here, and a rather steady amount of heat (somewhat warmer than other provinces that exist at higher elevations) between November and April, which makes for a great escape from North American winters. Beaches in Guanacaste are spectacular, making this a reason enough to visit. There are abundant accommodations that can be found beach-side in the area, including ocean villas, condo rentals and vacation rentals.

Beyond beaches, as in the rest of Costa Rica, surfing is a big draw to this region. Take a surf lesson or try your best on your own, you’ll be sure to have a blast in the waves. Alternatively, in the east of the province, visitors can explore waterfalls and volcanoes, let alone lush rain forests and national parks. If city life is more your thing, the regional hub is a city called Tamarindo, which offers an abundance of bustling nightlife, amazing restaurants and plenty of accommodation and lodging choices for everyone.
