In 1991, Kapalua Bay ranked number one in a study of 650 beaches and gained worldwide attention. The survey was based on 50 physical, biological and human considerations, including texture and color of sand, frequency of breaking waves and degree of solitude.
Kapalua's three great golf courses have repeatedly won awards for excellence. The golf courses are certified by Audubon International as Audubon Cooperative sanctuaries. You can also enjoy horseback riding, or a wide variety of watersports including snorkeling.
