The Okanagan is located in the Interior of British Columbia. It stretches from the town of Enderby in the north to the United States border in the south. The region to the east of the Okanagan is the Kootenay Rockies. To the west lies the Thompson Nicola region. There are almost 350,927 people living in the Okanagan with a third of these people living in the region's largest city, Kelowna. The climate varies somewhat in the Okanagan. As expected, the North Okanagan can be cooler than the South Okanagan. Despite this, the Okanagan is considered to have the mildest winter temperatures in Canada. Summers are hot and sunny. This climate allows for vacation rental opportunities in any season. In winter the mountains east and west of the Okanagan Valley get heavy snowfalls, which provide excellent conditions for various winter recreation activities including skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, skating, and tobogganing. Summer is a popular season in the Okanagan. Attractions include wineries and vineyards, fruit-laden orchards, and plenty of summer recreation sports such as boating, swimming, fishing, golfing and hiking. Don't forget your sunscreen! Temperatures have been known to reach thirty-five to forty degrees Celsius on a summer day. Residents and tourists flock to the many beaches for relief from the heat. Kelowna tends to be the most popular choice for tourists, but a short drive in any direction will be well worth the trip. West of Kelowna across the bridge is West Kelowna. Here you will find the famous and breath taking winery Mission Hill, as well as smaller ones such as Quails' Gate and Mt. Boucherie. Southwest of Kelowna you will find the quaint lakefront town of Peachland with excellent restaurants, shops, beaches and parks. Further south you will find the city of Penticton . This city lies between the Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. Rent an inflated tube and spend an afternoon floating down the canal that connects the two. Penticton has great beaches, restaurants, cafes, wineries and vineyards, and more. Condo rentals and other accommodations are readily available in this beachy city. On the Southern border of the Okanagan region is Osoyoos. Swim, water-ski, wakeboard, fish, sail, or paddle in one of British Columbia's warmest lakes, Osoyoos Lake.

North of Kelowna is the city of Vernon and towns of Lake Country, Armstrong and Enderby. The North Okanagan has smaller but equally as beautiful lakes.     Newly renovated 2 level home. Our home features 2 individual private suites, up and down. Each suite has it's own kitchen with everything you will need including: fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig and Tassimo coffee machines, dishes and basic pots, pans and cooking supplies. Each unit has 6 chair dining table, laundry area, 1 full bathroom, living room. Purified drinking water and ice machines. My wife and I live on the 1/2 acre property. We have a 5th wheel that we stay in during the rental summer season. It is at the Far End of the Property (100ft from house upper deck) and a Large 7ft (see Pics) fence that separates your rental suite from us. There is no invasion of privacy and you will be very happy with the way we have set everything up for rental and your privacy. Central air conditioning! (Except downstairs kitchen, not needed as it doesn't get hot) Fast wifi throughout entire house Both suites have drive up access to unload groceries and luggage right to the door. Large paved driveway, parking for 3 vehicles and more parking on the street. If you have a Bboat we could get it up the driveway but you have to be willing to back It up. Top floor suite features include: Master bedroom with king bed, very comfortable. 2nd bedroom with queen bed, also comfortable. 42" Flat Screen T.V. In living area with apple TV and FREE access to Netflix. Nice size covered deck off of the dining area with table and chairs, lounging chairs, Large BBQ. The deck has a beautiful lake/valley view. We do have neighbours around us but it is very quiet and the deck has been designed for privacy with enclosed rear cedar siding. The front of the deck is where It is wide open with an awesome View, glass rails for clear lake views. Spectacular sunsets nightly Big enough to accommodate 8 people for a BBQ. Cold drink fridge on deck. Downstairs suite features: 1 bedroom with queen bed and twin futon, large rec room with twin futon, There is another room off of suite Bathroom (not private room, we have a single mattress that we can set up by request in this area if needed). The Rec room has a projector and pioneer 5.1 surround sound system, you can hook up your laptop to the projector and sound system or use the DVD player (some movies provided). We also have a Nintendo Wii with 4 controllers and games. We are just finishing the details on the Reno and have not finished some minor details of the exterior, this will not affect your stay and we are not working on the home until the vacation season is finished. We are an easy going, quiet couple and will really try to Work With You to Make Your Stay Comfortable and Keep You Satisfied. Basic cleaning before check out is required: Load dishes in dishwasher (no dirty dishes in sink) Garbage bagged, Quick sweep, Basic clean on bathrooms. We do all the Hotel quality fine cleaning.
