It is very quiet, with bars, restaurants, shopping, beaches close by. There are a number of 18 hole golf courses in this area of the Costa del Sol. Miraflores, Cabopino,Santa Clara, La Cala Golf course just to name a few. Calahonda is central to most areas: Marbella, Puerto Banus, Cabopino, Cala de Mijas are all just short drives. Gibraltar is a quick 45 minute drive. Cabopino and Cala de Mijas beach are approximately a 5 minute drive.
