Faro Airport is an approximately 45 minute drive to Luz mostly via the A22 motorway to Junction 1 which is 10 minutes from the villa. Detailed directions and maps for guests are provided on booking.
Regular trains run between Faro and Lagos. The villa is just a 15 minute taxi drive away from Lagos station. A rental car is recommended particularly for those who wish to explore the coast and inland and also to travel to the many restaurants just outside the village and surrounding area.
Praia da Luz is only a 10 minute walk from the villa, as are the shops, restaurants and beaches. Lagos is approximately 6 km from the villa and has a lovely marina where pleasure and fishing trips can be obtained. There is also quite an historic quarter and a good shopping area.
Praia da Luz has many facilities for the visitor, it is well suited for a family and / or beach based holiday. There are many restaurants offering a variety of cuisine, a bank, post office and a small cinema which shows the latest films in English. The largest supermarket (Baptista) offers telephone ordering and free delivery to guests staying at Vila das Acacias. There is also a 24 hour medical facility and a dentist available.
