Situated in the northern part of the Charente, between Confolens known for its summer musical concerts and La Rochefoucault for its chateau and chocolate factory, this property is set in the small town of Saint Claud. In a well-known Manoir dating back to the 15th century, this independent cottage has a lot of charm as it has kept its authenticity with a luxurious interior. The owner lives on the premises but not overlooking and breeds horses in the extensive grounds of over 14 hectares. There is an antique large bar, snooker table, and pool and shower room. The huge heated swimming pool is wonderful for sunbathing. At twenty minutes drive is the large lake of Lavaud, with a beach, ideal for windsurfing. A little further are golf courses, in Montbron or Angoulême. This old city has museums, trendy shops, old cobbled streets and plenty of restaurants and lively entertainment. Possibility of: massages and health treatment for the body, tennis lessons. Parking. Shared swimming pool heated (12 x 6 m; depth 0.8 2 m)( open 3 March to 17 November) with Roman steps and alarm. The booking is confirmed once signed documents have been faxed and 25% of the rental price (+ 28 Euros booking fee) has been paid. The remaining 75% of rental fee must be paid at least 42 days prior to arrival. If you cancel 75 or more days prior, payments less 15% of rental and 50 Euros are refunded.
