Honokohau Marina & Small Boat Harbor has multiple beaches, cafe, sandwich shop, public access to swimming and snorkeling as well as access to many private boats that can take you fishing, diving or exploring. There are numerous beaches all up and down the coast besides the Harbor as well.

Payments & Deposit

Payment Methods
For payments made via credit card and/or Paypal, there is a 5.00 percent surcharge.
Visa, Master Card, PayPal, Money Order or Cashiers Cheque, Discover Card, Personal Cheque. (Available for guests booking 40 or more days prior to arrival)
We ask that checks be here in time to be deposited 35 days before arrival. Charge for returned checks: $10. Charge for a bank wire transfer: $12.
Booking Deposit
Minimum $500 or 50% whichever is greater, if the balance is less than $500 then full amount is due.
Payment Balance
Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival.
****FOR BOOKINGS LONGER THAN 60 DAYS: You keep paid TWO MONTHS AHEAD (cycled by your arrival date monthly) until you are two months away from departure, then no more funds are due.****
Booking Cancellation Conditions
Cancellation 120 or more days prior to arrival, all payments (less a 50 USD cancellation fee) are refunded.
If the property is re-rented, the cancellation penalty is reduced.
Security or Damage Deposit
When warranted, the deposit (or portion thereof) is refunded within 14 days of departure. A refundable Damage Deposit (equal to one night's rent at the base rate [before any applicable discounts] is optional -- please discuss with us in order to waive it. If processed -- Damage Deposits are normally refunded assuming basic courtesies such as washing dishes, removing opened or leftover foods, taking your trash out, no damaged or missing property beyond normal wear and tear. Repeat guests never need place a Damage Deposit with us.

Quiet Time Policy
The quiet time is from 09:00 PM To 08:00 AM
This is a one structure, two level giant beautiful. We ask that all guests be considerate. Most naturally are! Those on the main house level should remember that there could be people under them. The house was built for locals -- so we ask that people who rent the main house remove their hard soled shoes (a Hawaiian Tradition). If you are hyper sensitive to noise, you should consider only renting the upper main house (it is available as the One Bedroom Tranquil House and also as the Three Bedroom Tranquil House). Most structures in Hawaii are built similarly (even our motels and condo complexes), and normally everyone is very satisfied here at our rentals -- but just a bit of awareness and consideration goes a long way!
Smoking Policy
Smoking is allowed, but outside only.
Hawaii State Law mandates that smoking near any public space (and this includes vacation rentals) should be 25 feet away from any open window or air source to any premises. Our property is one acre, there is plenty of room to comply with the law and not affect other guests for those who do want to smoke, but please not in or around any of the rentals as the smell can linger and harm the next occupants.

Internet Service & Fee
We have two WIFI transmitters that use phone based DSL internet service. If you need a direct ethernet wire, with sufficient advanced notice we can provide that for you. Our WIFI does not need any special log in or password to access and will work with Windows or Macintosh computers.
Telephone Fee
Optional wireless phone (by request); use with your calling card or dial direct (TOLL FREE) to local Big Island destinations, all the other Islands of Hawaii, Canada, or any part of the Mainland U.S.A. They will not ring & CANNOT receive incoming calls.
