IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL HOLIDAY-MAKERS:
The property is not official tourist structure, such as hotels, residences, etc. but a private house. Being such, it does not have standards or categories that are internationally recognized, indeed it reflects, in its architecture and furnishing, the local traditions and the personal taste of the owner.
This is precisely the kind of holiday we offer: the chance to partake in the culture of Tuscany, living in the same surroundings as an inhabitant would. In order to live this experience in the right spirit, it is important not only that the holiday-maker accepts but also that he will be able to appreciate the differences in the property we are proposing in comparison with those where he normally lives.
- Firenze - Peretola - Amerigo Vespucci Airport is within a 45 minute(s) drive. Florence airport is only 34 kilometers away. Pisa airport is also a good choice: it is only 84 kilometers away (about 1 hour and 30 minutes drive). As an alternative: Bologna airport is 147 km away (1 hour and 47 minutes drive); Rome airport: 300 km (3 hours and 15 minutes drive).
- Transit: can be reached by driving for 4 minute(s). Type of transit is Bus.
- Golf: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). There are 2 golf course(s) nearby.
- Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 4 minute(s). The propriety is located in an excellent position a little over 30 km from Florence and Siena, both of which can be reached in about half an hour. About 11 km away is the fascinating town of Certaldo, a medieval fortress and the native city of Boccaccio — one of the fathers of Italian literature and the author of the Decameron. San Gimignano, the well-preserved medieval towered city is just 15 km away, while Volterra, a historic Etruscan city, can be reached driving along 43 km of the most beautiful roads in Tuscany, part of the Volterrana: the legendary road for people who love to drive through the countryside, by car or by bike! We are in the peace of the country side, yet you may reach shops, restaurants, markets, etc. within 5 minutes drive.
There are typical family owned restaurants close to us (in Vico d'Elsa, S. Appiano, Petrognano...as well as Barberino Val d'Elsa, Tavarnelle and, of course, San Gimignano) where you may taste the Tuscan food, or even take a cooking class, if interested. In our House book there are addresses and direction to all of them as well as other interesting information on things to do in the area.
If you want to taste or buy some excellent wine, you don’t have to go very far to visit the wine cellars where the most famous red wine in the world is made, Chianti Classico.
Throughout the year the Tuscan towns and cities are animated by fairs, festivals, theme-celebrations and historic re-enactments from the middle ages with street markets, suppers, tastings and fireworks.

- Nearby Attractions: The property is located inside a spectacular park (on share with other units) which, with its romantic paths and breathtaking perspectives, provides the opportunity for pleasant walks immersed in nature.
The 9 x 18 m swimming pool (on share with other units) has areas reserved for each unit and fully equipped with deck chairs, sun beds and tents.
The tennis/five-a-side football ground (on share with other units) is in synthetic grass; close by there is also a ping-pong table (on share with other units). Next by the tennis court yard, there is a playground for kids, with a sling and a slide, as well as a new volleyball net (on share with other units).
Furthermore, in the area it is possible to do the following activities: horse riding, bike hire, golf, fishing, hot air ballooning, quad rides, cooking classes, wine cellars visits, wine tastings.
30% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 30 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 300 is required. You will receive a 50% credit on a future booking if you cancel 45 or more days prior. Owner accepts payments by: Visa - Master Card - Direct Bank Deposit All the apartments are fully equipped for your sleeping and cooking requirements. On arrival the Clients will find their units in a clean and tidy condition; they are supposed to leave them in the same way on departure.
Sheets and towels are supplied with the weekly change of linens every Saturday (not including towels for the swimming pool), any other requests will be at the expense of the guests.

- No smoking is allowed.
- Children are allowed. A Crib and a High Chair can be provided.
- Check in after 5:00 PM and check out before 10:00 AM.
- No pets allowed (Except for Service Animals).
- There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
- No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
- Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
