There are romantic and inspiring views from virtually all rooms - even the turreted staircase! The house sits on a hill surrounded by fragrant blooming Linden trees and blue and purple hydrangeas. This manor-house has been meticulously and professionally restored to preserve its historic beauty. The romantic chestnut wood window casings and shutters provide the perfect frame for the idyllic lush greenery, orchards, wild roses and hydrangeas.
The living room has a wall of french doors that open onto a flagstone terrace with tables and chairs and a view of the manor's old orchards and wild flowering gardens. There is also an outdoor wood-fire brick oven perfect for baking country pizzas!
• The international airport, Campo del Oro, is only 40 km from the property.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 90 minute(s). Corsica has a world-class, Robert Trent Jones designed 18-hole golf course in Bonifacio called: Domaine Sperone. Bonifacio is on the southern tip of the island and can be reached by car from Bastelica in approx. 2 1/2 hrs.
• Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). Although Corsica is known for its beaches and hiking, it also has many winter activities including skiing! The mountains are beautiful in the winter.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). There are 5 restaurants in the village serving excellent French and local specialties in relaxed cozy settings. All are within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Bastelica is known for its excellent charcuterie products. Vegetarians will be happy too! Fresh local produce is on every menu, and possibly the world's tastiest hot wood-fired pizza is made in village! Corsica is a wine-lovers paradise...and there is wonderful Corsican Rose on virtually every menu. You won't want to leave!
• There are numerous beautiful beaches within a 40 minute drive from the property. Corsican beaches are celebrated worldwide for their Mediterranean beauty.
The payment policy is flexible and can be worked out with the owner. A credit card is required for a security/damage deposit. If you cancel anytime, payments are refunded if the unit is re-rented.
