This charming 18th-century 'maison de maitre' is ideal for those looking for spacious and high quality accommodation. It offers the best of both worlds, being a stone's throw from the village shops, yet standing peacefully in its own grounds overlooking unspoilt countryside. The gardens look out over open countryside, and the landscaped pool area features the old dovecote which is now a changing room. Two options are set up for shaded outdoor eating - a south-facing terrace (with awning), or under the trees in the garden. The village has all the basics: butcher, baker, small supermarket, pharmacy, doctor and is not far from larger centres. There are plenty of good restaurants at Bourdeilles, Brantome and Champagnac de Belair. Markets, riding, tennis, canoeing and golf are all available close by. Angouleme and Perigueux (the Gallo-Roman county town) offer cultural interest and shopping and there are numerous chateaux to visit in the region. Covered parking. The booking is confirmed once signed documents have been faxed and 25% of the rental price (+ 28 Euros booking fee) has been paid. The remaining 75% of rental fee must be paid at least 42 days prior to arrival. If you cancel 75 or more days prior, payments less 15% of rental and 50 Euros are refunded.
