Beautiful ocean view location in a peaceful and quiet area close to town.
House was built in 1997, and remodeled in 2002 with annual improvements. We have groomed our adjoining lot into a 'Desert Park', with many trees, cactus, and flowering shrubs. Property is fully walled and gated, the area is remarkably safe and crime-free, and there is no traffic since it is on a dead-end street.
While the large front deck provides a perfect view of the ocean and beach, the rear courtyard has the pool and a shady lounging area. All areas are very private with no direct views from neighboring houses.

View
The view from the living area and the front deck is due south overlooking the 'Sunset Beach' and the Pacific Ocean. The beach is about 400 feet below and approximately half a mile away. Whales can often be seen December thru March, and there is a daily parade of yachts and cruise ships. Sunsets are exceptional. To the West is an enclosed 'Desert Park', a cleared desert sand area which we have planted with native plants and added a badminton court for the enjoyment of our guests. The only neighboring house is to the east, and is only occupied two or three weeks every year. Other homes are over 1/2 block away.

Loaner car is included in the base price, insurance included (driver must be 25 years or older). Pickup and drop off at airport (one round trip per booking). Babysitting service available. Private laundry can be done for $5 per load, or use automatic washer yourself at no charge. Host/caretaker lives on site (basement level with separate entrance) for assistance and information. Loaner cell phone is provided (guest buys 'pay as you go' card). High Speed broadband wireless internet, and premium Satellite TV programming with US and Canadian networks. Private fully walled rear courtyard, with 20' x 12' swimming pool, tile & brick paving, bamboo shade roof, gardens, and turtle pond. Horseshoe pitch/badminton area in adjoining area. Large front deck has canopy swing, cast iron table & chairs, loungers, and a large barbecue with rotisserie.

San Jose (SJD) Airport is within a 45 minute(s) drive. The International airport is about 45 minutes away, a taxi or shuttle bus would cost over $60.00 each way, you save this cost with our free airport service. A secondary smaller airport is 10 minutes away and has commercial flights to La Paz, Tijuana, and cities on the mainland. Many private aircraft from the U.S. use this airport.
Transit: can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). Type of transit is Bus.
Golf: can be reached by driving for 10 minute(s). There are 5 golf course(s) nearby. There are numerous prestigious Golf Courses throughout the Los Cabos area, the nearest is a ten or fifteen minute drive. An economical municipal course is located in San Jose. A new golf course is planned directly next to the house, completion possibly late 2008.
Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving more than 120 minute(s). The nearest ski resort is about 2,000 miles away.
Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 5 minute(s). There are two mini-markets within a five minute walk, and a Mexican style shopping area including pizza & taco stands a half mile away. The main downtown tourist area, including many restaurants, a shopping mall and CinemaPlex is a safe 10 minute drive on paved roads, (1.5 miles away from the unit). Two new SuperStores are about a 5 minute drive, Walmart and Costco are about 10 minutes.
Ocean is located within a 10 minute(s) drive. Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is fine sand. There is a dock and moorage float/anchor. The dock is public. There is room for 121 boats. The main swimming beach is a 10 minute drive. The main beach in the area (Playa Medano) is less than 2 miles away, it has all of the usual services and activities associated with major resorts. The beach directly in front of the house is not a good swimming beach due to the surf conditions. Beach Equipment: Rentals Nearby.
Nearby Attractions: Many tourist activities are centered in town, at the marina, and at Medano Beach, all within a 5 to 10 minute drive. The famous Arch (El Arco) and the surrounding attractions are easily reached in about 10 minutes by glass-bottom boat. Whale watching is seasonal, best from early January to April. Can be seen from charter boats or from the front deck of the house. Excellent snorkeling and diving can be experienced close to town using dive boats, or in Santa Maria Bay or Chileno by driving about 6 miles east of town. Sport fishing for Marlin, Tuna, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), etc is among the best in the world, there are many charters available and we can usually arrange discounts.
Payments and Policies
Payment Details
30% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due on arrival). A refundable security/damage deposit of 100 is required. You will receive a 100% credit on a future booking if you cancel 15 or more days prior.

Credit Card payments or bank transfers accepted through PayPal which is a secure online service, we will send an email info form.

Policies
• No smoking is allowed.
• Children are allowed. A High Chair and a Play Pen can be provided.
• Check in after 1:00 PM and check out before 3:00 PM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
• A maximum of 2 Dogs and/or Cats are allowed under 40lbs (14kg) in size. A fee of 10.00/pet/day will apply.
• There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
• Maid Service is provided every 3 days during a stay. An optional Daily Maid Service is available for the following fee of $30 per half day.
• Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
