Luxurious lakeside log house. The main house is an attractive log building, with a high vaulted ceiling in the living room. The sun room entryway is a pleasant place to dine with full views of the lake and beautiful gardens. Attractively furnished and contain native artifacts and comfortable country style furnishings. Guests will enjoy a variety of activities on the lake, canoeing, sailing, kayaking, fishing or swimming. Badminton and croquet are available. There are also indoor games and hundreds of books and many videos or DVDs for inclement weather. |

The view from the north side of the house, is of the lake, and beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from a choice of decks, an upper deck complete with hot tub, a lower deck with dining area, and the lakeside deck, with access to the water.
The view from the South side of the house is of beautiful lawns and gardens including an ornamental fish pond. This view can be enjoyed from a deck complete with an umbrella table and lawn chairs. There is a badminton net and rackets available, and croquet.
More Information
Decor is in a comfortable country style, with northern artifacts and furs decorating the walls of the high ceiling living room. There is a sun room with wicker furniture and dining set, an attractive place for meals, overlooking the lake and the gardens. Wildlife may be seen at any time of the year, moose, deer, black bear, fox and marten have all crossed this property at some time. We have a wide variety of bird life. Loons and other water fowl return to the lake every year. The TV reception is not great, we think that is an advantage! We have a large selection of videos and some DVD's. There is a Video/DVD rental store about a 30 minute drive away. There is a selection of indoor games, and a badminton net and rackets for games on the lawn.

• Approximately 45 km to nearest commercial airport. Private planes can land on the lake.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). Ness Lake Golf Course is about a five minute drive away. There are other golf courses about 30 minutes away as well. • Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). The unit is located in the small community of Ness Lake, a 20 minute drive to shopping area with pharmacy, groceries, dentist, physician, gas stations, bank and some dining. A 30 minutes drive to the major centre, Prince George, with chain stores, regional hospital, theatres, fine dining, airport, bus depot, railway station, parks, museums, swimming pools. • Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is coarse sand. There is a dock. There are paths and steps to the lake level. The equipment: There is a 20 foot fibreglass canoe and an 18 foot fibreglass canoe, and a fibreglass single sea kayak. The little sailboat is a wooden dinghy, about 12 foot long which can be a row boat or a single sail sailboat with a centreboard and a rudder. The mast is stepped and ready during the summer. There is also a fibreglass two person pedal boat. Life jackets in various sizes are available, and paddles and oars. There is a kayak and a paddle boat. The "beach" changes depending on the level of the water. At times there is grass right to water level and at other times there is a sandy/gravel edge to the water. It is not a sandy beach. The water is shallow for about 6 to 8 feet and then drops off sharply to be quite deep.
Payment Details
25% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 45 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 100 is required. If you cancel anytime, payments (less 10%) are refunded if the unit is re-rented.

• No smoking is allowed.
• Children are allowed. A Crib, High Chair and a Play Pen can be provided. • Check in after 3:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request. • Dogs and Cats are allowed but must be approved by the Owner. • There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours. • No housekeeping is provided during a stay. • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure. |
