Recently restored 17th century farmhouse with panoramic views of two lakes.
360 degree views. Podere Fontegallo is on a hill in the tranquil Umbrian countryside just a 10 minute drive from Tuscany, with breathtaking views of gentle rolling hills, Lake Trasimeno, Lake Chuisi, Medieval hilltop villages and mountains in the distance.
The patios are decorated with handmade ceramic tiles, there is the environmentally friendly swimming pool (6m x 14m) with water purified by UVA rays (no chlorine) and throughout the property are quiet places to sit and admire the views.
Inside are typical terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, fireplaces, original doors and wrought iron beds.

    French doors lead to the front private patio with views over Lake Chiusi. There is a Washer and Dryer in the utility room for the use of all guests. We can arrange for our cook to prepare meals on request, subject to availability.

    • From Chiusi-Chiancaino Terme station (12km) you can reach Florence or Rome in about one hour to visit the world famous museums, galleries and architectural heritage and then return to the tranquillity of the gentle Umbrian countryside. Airports: Rome (180km), Florence (130km), Pisa (210km), Perugia (40km).
    • Golf: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). The nearest golf course is less than 30 minutes away.
    • Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). You can ski on Mount Amiata which is less than an hours drive from Podere Fontegallo.
    • Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). The nearest Food market and pharmacy are 2km away in the local town of Gioiella. You can also shop at the supermarket and a large selection of shops for food and clothing in Castiglione del lago and Chiusi is 10 km away. There are several restaurants within 15 minutes from Podere Fontegallo.
    • Beach surface is coarse sand. There are 360 degrees views to the horizon, including both Lake Trasimeno to the north and Lake Chiuso to the south. The beach is at Lago Trasimeno 10 km away which can be seen from Podere Fontegallo. Lago Trasimeno is the fourth largest lake in Italy with 10 public beaches, all subject to continuous water quality controls according to E.E.C. norms.

    Payment Details
    30% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due on arrival). A refundable security/damage deposit of 150 is required. If you cancel less than 45 days prior, there is no refund.
    Owner accepts payments by: Direct Bank Deposit - Cash
    All prices are in Euros, but deposits can be made in Euros or US$ or Pds Sterling at the then prevailing exchange rate.

    Policies
    • No smoking is allowed.
    • Children are allowed. A Crib and a High Chaircan be provided.
    • Check in after 4:00PM and check out before 10:00AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
    • No pets allowed (Except for Service Animals).
    • There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
