This comfortable, detached villa called La Maoure (an anagram of Amour, translated love) lies on the edge of a quiet street, 5kms from Cavaillon and offers an ideal spot for relaxed family holidays. From the immaculately presented pool and the mature oliveraie garden, there is a pleasant picture postcard' view over the village's rooftops, the church clock and the Luberon mountains in the background. The living room leads to a south-facing covered terrace, which gives access to a second terrace, the swimming pool and garden. The property is a practical and easily-run villa, with the only sounds being the birdsong and the lapping of the pool. Within a short walk are shops, bakeries, cafés and restaurants, whilst there are supermarkets at Cavaillon, many riverside restaurants and antiques at bustling Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (7km) and golf at Saunane. In July, Avignon hosts an exciting theatre festival. A lavender museum is to be found at Coustellet, and Velleron holds evening farmer markets selling local produce. The hilltop villages of Gordes, Roussillon and Bonnieux await discovery. Parking. The booking is confirmed once signed documents have been faxed and 25% of the rental price (+ 28 Euros booking fee) has been paid. The remaining 75% of rental fee must be paid at least 42 days prior to arrival. If you cancel 75 or more days prior, payments less 15% of rental and 50 Euros are refunded.
