Protection Island Cottage
The lovely Craftsman style cottage is an eclectic mix of styles and art. The concept is open. This is the waterfront's vacation property rental for you and your pet. There is no fencing on the property, so the deer can wander. Dogs are to be leashed on Protection Island.
Protection Island is serviced by a private foot ferry found in the Boat Basin across the road from Port Place Mall and the Cameron Island Development on Front Street. Public Parking is available at Port Place and the Pioneer Plaza on Front Street. See Robbins Parking in Nanaimo for rates.

Please be advised that my home is for sale. Should there be a viewing during your stay, I must request that the home is kept in a tidy state. A realtor will be present during the viewing. Because it is a high end home, I do not anticipate many viewings, (there were only four last summer).

    • In the gourmet kitchen you will find an extensive Russell Wright and Fiesta collection, a ceramic top convection oven with built in downdraft, side by side refrigerator/freezer with filtered water and ice. Other small appliances are available. The dining area has a dining room table that seats 4.

    1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). The bedroom has a queen size Stearns and Foster pillowtop mattress. There is direct access to the covered deck via the garden door. The ensuite has a soaker tub with a separate toilet.

    1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). The large master bedroom has a queen size bed. there is direct access to the deck via a double garden door. The ensuite has a shower.

    Bathroom 1 is an en suite and has toilet, bathtub and one basin.

    Payments and Policies
    Payment Details
    50% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 7 days in advance). A credit card is required for a security/damage deposit. If you cancel anytime, payments (less 50%) are refunded if the unit is re-rented.

    *Please note that the above policies relate to the Owner's portion only.
    Policies
    • No smoking is allowed.
    • No children are allowed.
    • Check in after 3:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
    • Dogs are allowed but must be approved by the Owner.
    • Guests are asked to be quiet between the times of 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
    • No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
    • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
