Distances
A twenty-five minute drive from Puerto Plata International Airport (POP). Santiago is about 1 1/2 hour drive and the Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo approx. 4 hours. The complex is located between the village of Cabarete, and the town of Sosua. ~ This complex is fronted by the Bay of Cabarete, and backs onto green hillside. ~ The Playa Grande Robert Trent Jones designed 18 hole golf course requires a vehicle for the 1.5 hour drive along the coast. It is a truly breathtaking course set on the cliffs. Playa Dorada, designed by R.T. Jones as well, is another 18 hole course about 1 hour drive towards Puerto Plata. ~ A small convenience store is a 2 minute walk away. The larger shopping and dining areas are about 10 minutes to walk to but local transportation or a taxi is always available. Dining: some restaurants are less than 10 minutes away, however the center of town with beach restaurants and bars is about 10 + minutes. At night time taxis can be arranged at the reception desk. Shopping Centers: there are some supermarkets in town, and a large center is in Sosua town which is a 15 minute drive away.
