Distances
Located one mile from the town of Kailua. Public access beaches are throughout the area. A five minute drive to Kahalu'u Beach Park; a great snorkeling beach (you can rent snorkeling equipment right on the beach). Green sea turtles can sometimes be seen resting on the sand at dusk. A large sandy beach can be found at the renowned Hapuna State Park, a fifty-five minute drive north on Hwy 19. It is almost 700 yards long. During good weather the swimming is good and life guards are on duty. The Kona Country Club golf course has two championship courses; the Ocean Course and the Mountain Course. There is a pro shop, driving range, restaurant and lounge. This golf club is approximately five miles from the Kona Sea Ridge Complex. The Big Island Country Club has a challenging Pete Dye course and is located approximately a twenty minute drive from Kona. It is a two hour fifteen minute drive to Volcanoes National Park.
