For a seal, I get around a lot. And having stayed in pretty much every neighbourhood at Big White, I can tell you the Copper Kettle Lodge is truly in a league of its own. Because the suite is so large, each of the bedrooms is in its own wing for maximum privacy and relaxation. And each has its own bathroom. The master even has a luxurious steam shower. There are granite counters. Radiant heat floors. Four plasma tvs and a full-on theatre room with a 65 inch projection television! (I especially enjoyed watching "A Seal Called Andre.") It's truly a very special vacation home.
But let's face it: There are few things more important to a great ski vacation than great access to the mountain! You will enjoy some of the best ski-in/ski-out access at Big White. When you gear up to make fresh tracks in the morning, you're all of 100 meters down an easy slope to the Black Forest lift and ticket booth. Oh, and here's a tip from the locals: There's almost NEVER a lineup for tickets at the Black Forest (you can't always say that about the ticket office in the Village). When your legs give out and it's time to après ski, you can ski to the Lodge from every major lift on the mountain. You don't have to trudge across the road with your skis. You don't have to pole through the village. And you don't have to negotiate a tricky goat track. (If you've ever skied with beginners or children or seals, you KNOW what a great feature this is!)
Another truly unique characteristic of this unit is the very private and unobstructed panoramic view of the valley and mountains below. You don't see any other condos or chalets, just the wild wild snow covered west. If you look at the photos to your left, I had my friends photograph me about to take a nice hot steam bath after a long day of sliding down the slopes, and another photo of me on the granite in the kitchen waiting for my next meal! You can trust Snuggles and the Owner of this condo; you will not be disappointed.
