Beautiful custom-built cabin built summer 2006. Situated on over 100 acres and backs onto over 30 miles of Crown land with a multitude of hiking trails to explore. Enjoy the outdoor amenities of our beautiful location, with the privacy of your own cabin. The creeks on the property are great to play in, or just sit and listen to their happy sounds. Nearby lakes offer a refreshing swim during the summer heat as well as a place to launch or rent a boat, and the rivers feature world class fishing as well as canoeing and rafting. Numerous golf courses within 30 minutes drive. As nice as they come!

    • Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 25 minute(s). Small country store within 10 minutes drive. The nearby town of Jaffray has a couple restaurants, groceries & gas (15 minutes). Cranbrook is a 25 minute drive and is a town of approx. 20,000 people with many restaurants, stores, multi-screen cinema, recreation plex, library, etc. You should stock up on groceries before arriving at cabin. Kimberley (45 minutes) is famous for its Bavarian-themed downtown and its Platzl pedestrian mall, with cuckoo clock and wandering minstrels. The city is built on the slopes of Sullivan and North Star mountains, at an elevation of 1,113 metres (3,651 feet), and lays claim to Canada's highest city. The city is the site of the Sullivan Mine, the world's largest underground lead-silver-zinc mines. You can visit the Heritage Museum or take a ride on a narrow-gauge train with the Bavarian City Mining Railway. It has numerous German and other restaurants.

The wildlife area also provides prime habitat for muskrats, turtles, reptiles, elk, moose and white-tailed deer. St. Mary River valley to Grey Creek pass to Kootenay Lake makes a good day trip. The Canadian Museum of Rail Travel houses a fine collection of beautifully restored classic railcars and locomotives. Aasland Taxidermy Museum: Gilnockie Creek Ecological Reserve : The championship 18-hole Cranbrook Golf Club on 2nd Street South is a mature parkland layout that plays from 5,200 to 6,800 yards. Way-Lyn Ranch Golf Course is a challenging 18-hole executive golf course located in the beautiful Saint Mary's River Valley. The family-oriented executive Par-3 Mission Hills Golf Course on Theatre Road features 18 holes nestled in mature ponderosa pines. The 18-hole golf course at St. Eugene Mission on Mission Road has spectacular views of the St. Mary’s River and Fisher Peak, and on the opposite side of the valley, the Purcell Mountains. For a memorable visit to the western frontier of yesteryear, visit nearby Fort Steele Heritage Town, an historic 19th-century fort.

    Payment Details
    50% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 30 days in advance). A credit card is required for a security/damage deposit. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to arrival, there is no refund unless re-rented.
    Owner accepts payments by: Personal Cheque (Available for guests booking 30 or more days prior to arrival) - Money Order or Cashiers Cheque - Direct Bank Deposit - Cash
    All cancellations subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

    Policies
    • No smoking is allowed.
    • Children are allowed.
    • Check in after 4:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
    • Dogs and Cats are allowed but must be approved by the Owner.
    • There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
    • No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
    • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
