• The cottage is one and half hours drive from the centre of Melbourne. It would be two hours drive from Tullamarine Airport.
There is public transport from Dromana to Melbourne central.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). It is a 5 minute walk to many Cafes, shops and the Dromana Pub, which has beautiful food. It is one and half hours drive to centre of Melbourne, where you can experience the city life.
• Beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. Beach surface is fine sand. There is a dock and moorage float/anchor. This delightful cottage is located only a hop, skip and a jump from the beautiful sandy beach . The beach is a 2 minute walk from cottage. Soft golden sand fringes the calm waters of Port Phillip Bay along the Mornington Peninsula to the bay’s entrance at The Rip. This almost unbroken string of sandy beaches link Frankston with the inlets around Mount Eliza and Mount Martha and the stretch from Safety Beach, to Dromana, Rosebud and Rye to Sorrento and Portsea. These are great beaches to cool off when it’s hot, take long walks in cooler months or relax at a bayside picnic. Drive along the Mornington Peninsula Freeway and turn off to any of the bayside beaches on the right.
Arthurs Seat just 5 minutes from Dromana is the best place to appreciate the spectacle of Port Phillip Bay, Mornington Peninsula and the Melbourne skyline. There are several lookouts along the scenic drive winding up to the Arthurs Seat summit, the best of which is the 247 Murray’s Lookout.
