Spacious Two Storey, Quality, Quiet Penthouse - Elkhorn Village at Sun Valley

Beautiful penthouse condo with a great view of Dollar Mountain & the Elkhorn Golf Course. Dollar Mountain lift is 100 yards away, in sight.

This Penthouse home features Kitchenaid appliances; cathedral ceilings;gas-starting, wood burning fireplace; hickory wood floors;designer furniture; three flat screen TV's. Each of two master bedrooms has a king size bed & a large and luxurous ensuite bath tub with double sink, jetted tub, & tiled shower. The building, built in 2007, has an elevator & underground parking. Well-behaved pets may be approved, although the owner would prefer no pets.

Located just minutes from Sun Valley, the nation's original ski destination: Bald Mountain Ski Area – The ultimate winter wonderland. Llift capacity is 29,717 skiers/riders per hour & the average skier day is only 3,000- said tobe the most uphill capacity for the amount of skiers of anywhere in the world. "Baldy"; a mountain with perfect pitch, consistent vertical from its 9,150 ft. peak down to the 5,750 ft. base. No flats, no plateaus - all downhill on a variety of slopes rated to your liking & ability. Sun Valley was aptly named because its brilliant sun shines 80 percent of the ski season. It was "winter sports under a summer sun" that put Sun Valley on the map nearly 75 years ago.

Sun Valley Stables are located a few minutes drive away. Beginners to sharp-shooters will be challenged at the Sun Valley Gun Club.

The shuttle system provides free transportation throughout the Wood River Valley, including continuous round trips from the Village to both Dollar & Bald Mountains & to the town of Ketchum & Elkhorn Springs.

This was my first trip to Sun Valley, Idaho! Here I'm looking out of the living room window, at "Dollar Mountain". You can see a lift line at the top right of my photo. "Dollar Mountain" is the "smaller mountain" at Sun Valley....yet it still has 6 lifts!

We skied on the famous "Bald Mountain", in the brilliant sunshine. It was only about a 15 minute drive from here to the ski hill.

What a mountain it is! I have never skied anywhere with so many chair lifts! It has the most uphill capacity for the number of skiers on the mountain, anywhere. Such great skiing, with no lift lines. The views from the top were amazing! I kept stopping to take photographs.

The spacious vacation home was fantastic; it has a cathederal ceiling in the livingroom, and the two master bedrooms have very posh ensuite bathrooms. Of course I spent alot of time in the jetted tub; what seal wouldn't?

Sun Valley looks like it would be a great place for us to come back to in the summer. The homes around us are located on the Elkhorn Golf Course, so the neighborhood is spacious and lovely, with great landscaping. I think I'll be back to try the golf, hiking and biking!
