    Set sloping ground on the south west fringes of the village at an elevation of 2,400 meters (7,800 feet). The chalet has unobstructed views from its many picture windows over the empty expanse of the snow covered andes to the south, and the city of Santiago to the west. Santiago's inversion layer (1000 meters below Farellones) creates spectacular sunsets most evenings - and a vistas of glistening city lights far below on clear nights. To the south and east are views through the village to the ski areas of Colorado and La Parva.

    Apartment within a four storey private chalet. The owners use the upper two floors primarily during the ski season. Optionally available (at extra cost): Toyota 4Runner 4WD SUV Automatic 4.2 liter V6. Ideal car for mountains and skiing - equipped with rack for 8 skis (or 4 snow boards and 4 skis) and snow chains (though with the 4WD these are rarely required). Big enough for 5 passengers and luggage in comfort.

    Distances
    • Santiago de Chile's International airport is about 60 km and just over an hours drive. Drive time can vary with the mountain road conditions. The last 20 km or 40 switch back curves are narrow and can be subject to one way traffic restrictions at certain peak times.
    • Golf: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). Several Golf courses are to be found in Lo Barnechea and Santiago. The nearest being just under one hour from the chalet.
    • Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). Located on a ridge at the southern edge of the village of Farellones, the chalet is five minutes walk from the ski lifts at Farellones (you can ski back) and five minutes drive from the ski base at La Parva or El Colorado (you can ski all the way back from here too). Valle Nevado (the third linked valley / resort in the area) is a 15 minute drive but can be accessed easily on skis from either El Colorado or La Parva ski areas. Skiing and boarding are the main winter activities. There is ample lift serviced terrain in the 3 resorts, but if you feel the need to venture further, Helli ski services are available from La Parva and Valle Nevado. In summer mountain walking climbing or horse riding are available. We'll be happy to provide further details and make the necessary arrangements.
    • Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 20 minute(s). There are several slope side and hotel restaurants in the village. Shopping in the village is however very limited and for all main supplies a trip to the Las Condes (eastern suburb of Santiago) is required (about 45 to 60 minutes drive) where you will find a huge range of stores and malls. Our maid can however arrange grocery supplies for you.
    Payments and Policies
    Payment Details
    50% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 45 days in advance). A credit card is required for a security/damage deposit. If you cancel anytime, payments (less 50%) are refunded if the unit is re-rented.

    Policies
    • No smoking is allowed.
    • Children are allowed but this unit is not suitable for children under the age of 5.
    • Check in after 2:00PM and check out before 10:00AM.
    • Dogs are allowed but must be approved by the Owner.
    • There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
    • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure. Housekeeping is provided every 3 days during a stay.
