Stunning Panoramic mountains views to Cairngorms National Park

This cottage has large patio windows to encourage the visitors to enjoy the stunning views to the mountains in the Cairngorms National Park. The cottage is at the heart of the Moray whisky trail. The Glenlivet distillery is viewed from the cottage and is one of 10 open to the public (many do free tours). We have some beautiful ruined as well as lived in castles in the Grampian and Highland area of Scotland. Our bird and wildlife on the Glenlivet Estate and in the Cairngorms National Park is outstanding.

The self catering cottage is in a tastefully restored farm building on a hillside with views to the Glenlivet distillery on the Malt Whisky Trail. The views in all directions are across open fields where you can enjoy watching the sheep and the rabbits. The views from the patio windows are of the sunset over the Cairngorm mountains. Enjoy historic castles, idyllic fishing villages or empty beaches.

This property has a large garden. It is centrally heated and comfortably furnished with coal fired stoves as a feature in the lounge. There is a payphone available. Linens and towels are included. A washing machine is available. Electricity is by £1 coin meter. Barbecue and patio furniture in courtyard. Enjoy this undiscovered wilderness area of Scotland. It is an ideal area for walking the Speyside way or for walking or cycling on the waymarked trails on the Glenlivet estate. There are excellent opportunities for golfing, fishing, sking, touring the whisky and castle trails or just relaxing while driving on quiet roads off the beaten track in Scotland. This home is in a remote corner of Grampian between Dufftown and Tomintoul.

Golf: can be reached by driving for 20 minute(s). There are many golf courses in the local area. Dufftown 8 miles away, is an 18 hole golf course. There are also courses at Grantown on Spey, Rothes and many around Elgin.
Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). It is 12 miles to the Lecht ski area open all year round for a variety of activities. Skiing normally from December to April. Go-carts, tubing and other activities available at other times.
Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). The cottage is situated in open farmland about 1 mile from the B9009 Dufftown to Tomintoul Road. The Croft Inn pub, which also has good food, is about 2 miles. Nine miles in opposite directions are Dufftown and the highest village in the highlands Tomintoul. Both places have a selection of shops and restaurants. The historic city of Elgin 25 miles away is the main shopping centre and also has a ruined Cathedral.
• The Moray Firth coast with empty beaches and fishing villages stretches from Inverness to Fraserburgh. Lossiemouth is about an hours drive.

Payment Details
The rent, required to complete the booking is 20% (balance due 30 days in advance). A credit card is required for a security deposit. If you cancel 7 days prior to arrival, there is no refund. Initial deposit non-refundable.
