In the pretty Perigordian countryside called Périgord Vert', this ancient farmhouse has been completely and tastefully restored to offer a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful countryside. Set in a very peaceful location, a few exterior steps lead to a private swimming pool and the fresh stone house is surrounded by lovely woodland walks. You can also discover the Gorges of Auvézère from Genis, or visit the magnificent château of Hautefort nearby. Enjoying the slow pace of countryside life, the farmhouse gives easy access to some of the finest medieval architecture in France, and is close to Europe's most important prehistoric caves at Lascaux. There is a large horse riding centre at Pompadour 15km away, or fishing along the little streams around. There are two free bicycles and one child's bicycle provided on the premises, for exploring this wonderful area. Swimming pool (10m x 5m, depth 0.80m to 1.60m) . DISTANCES: 6km E of Génis (restaurant, café, shop, tennis), 10km N of Hautefort (château, more shops), 15km E of Excideuil (main shopping, lake).
ACCOMMODATION: Up a few exterior steps, entrance into large living and dining room with fireplace, open staircase and well-equipped kitchen behind breakfast bar. Large double bedroom with en-suite shower room/WC. Mezzanine with sloping ceilings on landing with sofa bed. Two bedrooms: one double with additional single bed and one twin. Bathroom/WC. The booking is confirmed once signed documents have been faxed and 25% of the rental price (+ 28 Euros booking fee) has been paid. The remaining 75% of rental fee must be paid at least 42 days prior to arrival. If you cancel 75 or more days prior, payments less 15% of rental and 50 Euros are refunded.
