The large swimming pool complete with chaise lounges, tables and umbrellas has a very friendly atmosphere. Your private lanai (balcony) is a great place to relax and enjoy the perfect climate. There is a washer and dryer in the condo for your convenience. It is approximately a 2 hour drive to Volcanoes National Park and most folks make this a day trip. Water activities abound in the area including self-piloted pontoon boat rentals, sailing and snorkeling cruises, glassbottom boat adventure cruises, 24' zodiac raft trips to Captain Cooks monument, and the always popular whale watching cruises.

We are right by the ocean here; what fun! I can listen to the waves as they are crashing onto the lava rocks and boulders day and night; how soothing for me.

I would have been happy to spend all of my time on the deck and enjoy the sunshine and the ocean sounds, but I did make sure that I visited nearby Kahaluu Beach Park. I am sure glad that I did; it is a fantastic snorkeling beach. Even in the shallows I saw schools of colorful fish, and a number of turtles. The turtles even crawl out right onto the sand in the early eveningI I learned that they are protected by law from anyone bothering them; but I still admire their braveness!
