Your private lanai (balcony) is a great place to relax and enjoy the perfect climate. There is a washer and dryer in the condo for your convenience.
It is approximately a 2 hour drive to Volcanoes National Park and most folks make this a day trip. Water activities abound in the area including self-piloted pontoon boat rentals, sailing and snorkeling cruises, glassbottom boat adventure cruises, 24' zodiac raft trips to Captain Cooks monument, and the always popular whale watching cruises.
A 20 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) will take you to White Sands beach, A.K.A Magic Sands, where every year around March and April, the sands are stripped away by heavy seas and currents, exposing rough coral and making the area rugged for swimming. People come here during those months because it is a good vantage point for observing migrating humpback whales. A large sandy beach (almost 700 yards long) can be found at Hapuna State Park, a 55 minute drive north on Hwy 19. During good weather, swimming is good and there are life guards are on duty.
