This was a positively wonderful oceanfront stay! The photo shows me enjoying the evening routine of sitting on my lanai, watching the sunset---and that is such a traditional here, that many neighbours came to the ocean's edge to watch the sunset as well. Someone nearby would sound the conch shell as the sun's rim hit the horizon; it was a great Hawaiian experience I will always remember.
In the afternoons, I would walk the local beaches (too many to list here), and swim in the ocean. We would drive to a different beach for our beach walk everyday, and some mornings I would also walk the beach right outside of the property.
The "folding doors" of the livingroom, dining room and kitchen brought the "outside in". Mornings and evenings we had the doors folded back, and those areas and the lanai became 'one'. With the long lanai and the glass railings on it, it made for a wonderful place to entertain or to relax....or both! It felt so 'posh' and it was my first time experiencing that design.
The rest of the property was lovely too; but my lanai and the beaches were when I spent most of my time. I had a very difficult time leaving this property when my stay ended!
