I actually stayed in the "twin" of this unit, which was directly above this one (it is ID 201532. Keep that in mind if there are 12 people who want to vacation near each other in Kihei...)
This photo shows me being out of character by "tree hugging"!! ---- I am sitting at the base of this palm tree outside of the lania, with a very tight grip!
From this property I enjoying the evening routine of sitting on my lanai, watching the sunset---and that is such a traditional here, that many neighbours came to the ocean's edge to watch the sunset as well. Someone nearby would sound the conch shell as the sun's rim hit the horizon; it was a great Hawaiian experience I will always remember.
In the afternoons, I would walk the local beaches (too many to list here), and swim in the ocean. We would drive to a different beach for our beach walk everyday, and some mornings I would also walk the beach right outside of the property.
The "folding doors" of the livingroom, dining room and kitchen brought the "outside in". Mornings and evenings we had the doors folded back, and those areas and the lanai and the outdoors became 'one'. It made for a great place to relax..
The rest of the property was lovely too; but my lanai area and the beaches were when I spent most of my time. I had a very difficult time leaving this property when my stay ended!
