Killington Accomodations

Arrival any day of the week except in summer (June 15 - Sept 15 when arrival day is Saturday only) Smoking is allowed, but owners would prefer smoking be confined to the screened in porch. Credit card required for long distance calls on phone.

• Albany International Airport is within a 120 minute(s) drive. 2 hours by car from Albany International Airport in Albany, NY.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 10 minute(s). There are 3 golf course(s) nearby. There is a golf course directly on Lake Bomoseen easily accessible by boat from the cottage. It is a five minute drive to the golf course by car. There is also a golf course on Lake St. Catherine twenty minutes south by car.
• Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 30 minute(s). Killington, Pico, and Okemo are less than a twenty-five minute easy drive from the lakefront cottage. For Killington from Castleton Corners take Route 4 north to Rutland, an 18 minute drive and go north from the Rutland exit. For Okemo from Castleton Corners take Route 4 north to Rutland, an 18 minute drive and so south from Rutland exit. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are available right on the lake and on the private roads connecting the cottages surrounding the lake. Ice fishing is plentiful but the wide expanse of lake (4 miles across) is adequate for everyone and does not intrude on your privacy.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 5 minute(s). Village shopping and dining is 2.5 miles from cottage. There are three restaurants directly on Lake Bomoseen easily accessible by boat from the cottage. Bromley is a forty minute drive to Mahcnester, Vermont and the town has wonderful outlet shopping and many restaurants.
• The unit is Lake front. The unit is right on the lake but there is no sandy beach. There is grass from the house to the water and once you are in the water, the sand is coarse grain on a gradual slope. The lake is frozen from December to March for excellent XX skiing and you can ski to a wonderful restaurant on the lake, have lunch and ski back to the cottage. Ice fishing is plentiful and the lake is expansive (4 miles wide) that there is room for everyone without intruding on your privacy. It is quite interesting and unique viewing cars and trucks driving on the frozen lake in the distance from the picture window. Plastic sleds are provided for guests. Sledding and XX skiing are also available on the private roadways that connect the cottages surrounding the lake. A perfect winter experience!
