The villa is perfectly located for private boat trips to secluded beaches, exploring ancient mangroves and jungles and discovering one of the world’s top rated dive areas. And while tucked into this quiet little village, guests are only a ten-minute motorbike ride through the rubber trees to the secluded white sands of Klong Nin beach or a short boat ride to several secluded island beaches. There is a grocer a 1 minute walk away and Monday is the local traveling market, selling fresh curries and veggies. Fish & Jumbo Shrimp are sold everywhere. Great Thai and Western restaurants in town - a 3 minute walk. There are many tour boats running out of Old Town and Saladan (in the north) A long tail boat can pick you up from your back deck and take you to many deserted islands only 5 mins away. A ten minute drive you can reach many of Lanta's white sandy beaches like Klong Nin, depending on what part of Lanta you like. Highly recommend renting a jeep or motorbike.

• Krabi Airport is within a 90 minute(s) drive. Airport pick up available. Flights from all over the world will bring you into Thailand usually landing at the Bangkok or Phuket International Airport. If you're flying into Bangkok try to get a connecting flight to Krabi, the closest airport to Ko Lanta. Second choice is Trang and third choice is Phuket.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 3 minute(s). There are two good restaurants in Lanta Old Town: Fresh Restaurant and Krua Lanta Yai are Beautiful. Both sit on the waterfront with splendid views. Also don't forget to stop in to Hammock House and check out a great selection of Handmade Hammocks. Check out Mango House for good western food.
• The unit is Ocean front. Beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. Beach surface is fine sand. There is a dock. We are on the East Coast. There are nine beautiful beaches running on the west coast side of Ko Lanta, running from north to south for 25 kilometers. The north end of the island, where you find Klong Dao and Phra Ae Beach is the more developed, with the most resorts and services available (although even in the busiest time of the year these beaches are never crowded). • Nearby Attractions: Lanta Old Town is a quaint village on Ko Lanta's East Coast in Krabi Province. Many years ago, Lanta Old Town acted as the port and commercial center for the island and provided safe harbor for Arabic and Chinese trading vessels sailing between the larger ports of Phuket, Penang and Singapore. Today, Lanta Old Town is the district capital; it has a post office, police station, Buddhist temple, Chinese temple and the island's hospital as well as a long pier. The same daily activities and traditional structures, such as traditional markets, longtail fishing boats and Chinese shop houses built over the sea remain as they did when the town served as one of Thailand’s busiest merchant hubs.
