The house is a traditional Japanese townhouse and located in the Kyoto’s Higashiyama tourist area which is dotted with some of the most representative temples and shrines of Kyoto.
There are numerous temples, restaurants, and shops located nearby, with walking access to major tourist sights such as:
Kiyomizu-dera Temple (10 minutes)
Koudaizi Temple (5 minutes)
Yasaka shrine / Maruyama Park (10 minutes walk)
GIon (10minutes walk)
Cion-in ( 15 minutes)
The downtown shopping area (Shijo-Kawaramachi) and Kamo River are also just a 15 minute walk away. Nearby is easy access to Kyoto city bus and taxis.
-Inside the house -
Downstairs, there is a very large full modern kitchen, one bathroom with shower/bathtub and Japanese style main room ( very spacious with Japanese garden / with wide screen TV), western style toilet and one luggage room.
The 2 bed rooms are upstairs. The large, high ceiling-ed Japanese-style tatami mat bedroom sleeps up to 6 people with comfortable Japanese futon and of course all room are heated / air conditioned.
