Outdoor enthusiast hike, swim, fish, bike, river-tube, kayak and canoe. We are the gateway to Walbran, Carmanah, West Coast Trail and Trans Canada Trail. Easy day’s trips are available for recreational trekkers. Come play hard and stay at our waterfront hotel/resort.

    • Nanaimo Airport is within a 45 minute(s) drive. Victoria Airport is approximately 1.5 hours from the hotel. The Nanaimo Airport (Cassidy) is just one hour away. The nearest train station is located in Duncan 20 minutes away. The train station is located on the bus route and bookings for the train can be done directly with VIA Rail or through a travel agent. We are about 15 kilometers, or 15 minutes drive from Youbou, or a very nice bike ride. We are about 1 hour from Duke point ferries.
    • Transit: can be reached by walking for 3 minute(s). Type of transit is Bus. Bus to Duncan and all Cowichan Valley. Good weed service, but not good evening and weekends.
    • Golf: can be reached by driving for 20 minute(s). There are 2 golf course(s) nearby. Enjoy Duncan Golf Course, or March Meadows-located half way between the two. The Cowichan Region has three other fabulous courses....Cowichan Golf and Country Club, Arbutus Ridge and Mount Brenton.
    • Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 90 minute(s). Mount Washington is a nice drive away, located about 2 1/2 hours away.
    • Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking less than 1 minute away. Enjoy the great outdoor Wilderness with all the amenities. Less that 10 minute walk to everything, even for the slowest walker! Grocery Stores, Restaurants, Pubs, Pharmacy, Gift Stores, Bank, Liquor Store, Flower Shops, Tourist Information Center, Museum, Boat and River-Tube Rentals, Fishing Licences and Equipment, Outdoors Adventure Centre and Internet Access.
    • The unit is River front. Beach gradient is steep, drops off immediately. Beach surface is large pebbles. There is a dock. Right on a great fishing/swimming hole on the riverfront. If you prefer the Lake, you can paddle or walk in 10 minutes, or if you are a really good swimmer, you may prefer to swim from the wharf right to the lake. Swim, fish and paddle from the wharf. Fishing is great on the wharf, or just out front. For a real beach experience, swim or walk about 50 meters to Lake Cowichan’s favourite swimming beach. Our beach is very tiny, so you will probably prefer to sun yourself on the wharf, or in the yard. In the winter, the water is very high, so the beach disappears, but the wharf is available year-round. Bring your canoe, or tube. Alternatively, rentals are available on site.

    The booking is confirmed with a credit card and payment made on arrival. A credit card is required for a security/damage deposit. If you cancel anytime, payments (less 100) are refunded if the unit is re-rented.

    • Children are allowed.
    • Check in after 3:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM.
