Lake and Mountain Views from this 3,000 square foot executive guest house
Executive style home overlooking Lake Cowichan and surrounding mountains. About one minute walk down the hill to lakefront Arbutus Park with sandy beach and dock. Great playground for kids at this park, along with picnic area. The dock there has a slide and diving board. The house itself is not waterfront.
The home is 3,000 square feet and has five bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The whole house can accommodate up to 22 people (including beds, futons, pull-out couches). Rent the whole house, or the Deluxe Lake View (ID 70526). One child under 8 stays free with each paying adult

Please note: there is no internet or phone service between October 1st and May 30th. We do this in an effort to keep our off-season costs lower. Between June 1st and September 31st there is phone service, and unlimited dial-up service is available for $10 per stay (please order directly from the owners once you've booked). There is no cable or satellite service at the house at anytime of the year.

  • There are two kitchens in the Whole House rental (one in the Deluxe Lake View Suite, the other in the Garden View Suite - the two suites adjoin to make one large suite for the whole house rental option).

    1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2), 1 Double Futon Bed (sleeps 2) and 1 Single Futon Bed (sleeps 1). Lake and mountain views, deck access, huge bedroom measuring 400 square feet, very bright with lots of windows, desk, chair. The second futon is a chair that folds into a bed, perfect for a smaller child!

    Views of the lake and mountains can be enjoyed from almost every room in the top two floors of the house (main and 3rd) and the large deck. The main bathroom has a jacuzzi tub that looks out over the lake and mountains.

Arbutus Park is a waterfront park administered by the municipality, and boasts a beautiful sandy beach with large dock. This is the only life-guarded beach on Lake Cowichan (July & August). The dock has a slide and diving board. The park offers both sun and shade, with lots of space for picnics (both covered and open).     • Nearby Attractions: The town of Lake Cowichan has museums and other historical sites to visit. There is also the Nitinat Lake, which during the summer has some of the most consistent winds in the world. Enjoyed by windsurfers, kiteboarders, and spectators. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails as well. Boat rentals are available locally ranging from large power boats to canoes and kayaks. There is a very neat bowling alley very close to the house where they still set the pins manually.
    Payments and Policies
    Payment Details
    25% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due on arrival). A refundable security/damage deposit of 250 is required. If you cancel 60 or more days prior, payments (less 100) are refunded - less than 60, no refund.
    Owner accepts payments by: Personal Cheque (Available for guests booking 30 or more days prior to arrival) - Money Order or Cashiers Cheque - Direct Bank Deposit - Cash - Travelers Cheques
    Damage deposit is payable in cash only unless a cheque has been received 30 business days prior to your stay so it has had time to clear. Deposit will be mailed back to you in the form of a cheque less the cost of any damage to the property.

    • No smoking is allowed.
    • Children are allowed.
    • Check in after 3:00 PM and check out before 11:00 AM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
    • No pets allowed (Except for Service Animals).
    • Guests are asked to be quiet between the times of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
    • No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
    • Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
