The kitchen window looks out on the lake and the waterbirds. Foreman Grill, Brita filtered water pitcher; stove with hood, broiler, and timer; Cuisinart food processor and blender, special plugs and electric vacuum maker to preserve unfinished bottles of wine, super strong bottle clamp to preserve Champagne bubbles--the kitchen has a lot of amenities.

Bed Summary

Master Bedroom

1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). In this 2-bedroom apartment, the master bedroom has two huge windows that look out onto the lake. They can be open to the view or closed by translucent curtains for privacy or darkened by shades for daytime TV/movie viewing and sleeping. The cream-colored French provincial furniture set includes the bed; a wide 9-drawer dresser with a large, wide mirror; and two matching bedside tables with matching lamps. The dresser also has a lamp controlled by a switch right at the door. The bed is a very comfortable, plush, top-quality queen bed. The clean and cleanable ceramic-tiled floors have rugs on each side of the bed and a long walk-in closet with folding louvered wooden doors provides an enormous storage space for this bedroom. As throughout the apartment, there are paintings, watercolors, seashells, and other original art and natural things of beauty. This bedroom has a TV on a rolling cart, and remotes, VCR, and DVD player.

Bedroom

1 Double Bed (sleeps 2). The second bedroom opens via a sliding patio door onto the Florida room/porch/lanai/deck. It's possible to relax on the bed while looking across the Florida room at the landscape, lake, and waterbirds or to close the floor-to-ceiling curtains for privacy. The clean and cleanable ceramic tiled floors have rugs beside the bed, which has a very comfortable Swedish mattress. The room contains a handsome ottoman, bedside tables, and lamps, and may contain a wine fridge (or it may be in the huge walk-in closet for this bedroom--a closet big enough to sleep in).

Lanai

1 Single Foam Mattress (sleeps 1). It's also lovely to sleep in the open-air, screened Florida room, which has electric light. The Florida room has adjustable lounges to loll on, little tables, unimpeded views of the lake and waterbirds from about knee-height to the ceiling. These are high, wide windows, and the room has a ceramic-tiled floor like the rest of the apartment.

Living Room

1 Queen Hide-A-Bed/Sofa Bed (sleeps 2). The apartment has a high-quality, comfortable hide-a-bed in the living room. The condo, a senior complex, allows only short visits of children, so our guests never have used the full sleeping capacity through the season, but for short stays by children or indefinite stays by friends, the two bedrooms, Florida room, and hide-a-bed provides plenty of places to sleep.

Bathroom 1 is an en suite and has toilet, bathtub, shower, hair dryer and one basin.

View

The unit looks out on beauty--the lake with its tropical trees, big sky, waterbirds, walking paths, and other pleasures. You have an unimpeded view of the water from the Florida room and every other room in the apartment--kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, dining and living rooms. The view changes constantly and is both beautiful and fascinating. I tend to slight the view of the gardens, but the complex's landscaping can be seen from the front, from the bedrooms, and from the Florida room, and it's lovely, tropical, and perfectly maintained. This location is waterfront yet without the fierce wind that keeps those who live on the Atlantic indoors with their windows closed. When hurricanes approach in the summer and fall, people on the ocean are required to evacuate, but we aren't. Please see photos and please let me send you more....

The apartment is very comfortable, with ceiling fans, cordless and corded telephones, answering machine, wine fridge, HEPA air cleaner, and new pillows every season.

• Palm Beach International Airport is within a 15 minute(s) drive. A gem of an airport--comfy, great-looking, lots of amenities, minutes away. You rub elbows with the Palm Beach ritz.
• Transit: can be reached by walking less than 1 minute away. Type of transit is Shuttle. Lolly the Trolley (a shuttle that loops around Lake Worth) stops right in front of the building and connects with everything. Tri-Rail commuter train service takes you north to West Palm and south to Miami fast and in comfort. I've walked comfortably to the Lake Worth Tri-Rail station with light luggage--it's very close.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 5 minute(s). There are more than 10 golf course(s) nearby.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 15 minute(s). You can drive to the nearest strip mall, with Publix grocery, Subway, little eateries, Radio Shack, Dollar Store, etc., in 2-3 minutes, or walk there in less than 15 minutes. Enormous variety of dining and shopping in downtown Lake Worth is less than 5 minutes away by car, and is a comfortable walk as well.
• The unit is Lake front. Beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. Beach surface is fine sand. There is a dock and moorage float/anchor. The dock is public. People swim in the lake, the pool, and the ocean. LAKE: People water-ski, fish, etc., in the lake at the apartments. There's a little sand beach and there's a launch area for small boats. OCEAN: The ocean is less than 5 minutes away. Lake Worth has a beautiful municipal Atlantic Ocean beach with a pier and restaurants and other things to do. On the Intracoastal Waterway, linked to the ocean, are a municipal launch area and dock. We are close enough to the ocean to enjoy it on a moment's notice and to get the lovely breeze which keeps the bugs blown away and keeps us cool without A/C (we have it but never use it). But we are just past the line where people closer to the ocean have to evacuate in hurricane threats. Also, the breeze isn't so strong to blow our lamps over, as it is for people right on the ocean or even on the Intracoastal. Friends right on the ocean say they can't enjoy their decks because the ocean wind is so strong, it blows things over inside; they have to keep their windows closed. Our windows are almost never closed. Beach Equipment: Rentals Nearby.
• Nearby Attractions: At the complex: Clubhouse, swimming pool and lounge area, organized group activities sponsored by the condo association and clubs. At the park and lake across the road: walking, hiking, running, biking, lake sports, tropical birds, liberated iguanas, natural areas, tennis; group activities, walking trails, nature trails, water sports. In historic downtown Lake Worth with its famous old Florida charm: Catch ocean fish from the 960-foot municipal pier; play golf Gatsby- style on the beautiful waterfront municipal golf course on the Intracoastal; then, have an affordable and excellent dinner at the restored Historic Landmark Gulfstream Hotel or have an affordable, delicious meal at Benny's on the Beach on the pier, while looking miles up and down the coast from Benny's beautiful upper deck. Take in an afternoon or evening play at our historic community theater. Or bask on our beach and gaze upon the vast blue Atlantic. Nearby: Top-drawer New York plays and shows at Kravis Center and fine arts at Norton Gallery. Worth Avenue and the glamorous sophistication of Palm Beach are minutes away. And you're minutes away from the new City Place in West Palm Beach, Roger Dean Stadium (baseball), deep sea and bass fishing, a 20-theater Movieco, and much much more. Lolly the Trolly will take you to the beach/fishing pier/shopping--and connect with transport to anywhere and any activity you can think of. Ft. Lauderdale is less than an hour away by car, train, or public bus. Tri-Rail takes you everywhere down the coast--Boynton Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami--to name a few. Everyone loves staying here--nearly all of our renters have applied to rent again or have bought their own condo in the neighborhood.

Payments and Policies

Payment Details

The payment policy is flexible and can be worked out with the owner. A refundable security/damage deposit (amount to be discussed with the owner) is required. If you cancel anytime, payments are refunded if the unit is re-rented.
Owner accepts payments by: Personal Cheque (Available for guests booking 30 or more days prior to arrival) - Money Order or Cashiers Cheque - Direct Bank Deposit - Cash - Email Money Transfer
Because of condo rules, we can offer only seasonal rentals on a standard lease. A deposit of 1/2 month's rent holds the apartment and covers damages. We ask for the first month's rent plus the deposit when the lease is signed, and renters make the rest of the payments on the first of each month of their stay.

Policies

• Children are allowed.
• Check in after 1:00 AM and check out before 11:00 PM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
• No pets allowed (Except for Service Animals).
• Guests are asked to be quiet between the times of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
• An optional Daily Maid Service is available for the following fee of negotiable.
• Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
• Pool heat is included in rates.
