• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 5 minute(s). Use of a car is advisable to make the most of all that the area has to offer, but for merely going into Lanjaron village it is not essential as the villa is much closer to town than many of the villas of the area at just a 5-10 minute walk. However, it should be noted that the lane to the house is quite steep and walking is not advised for the infirm or during the heat of the day in summer.
Lanjaron has much to offer you, as it has been welcoming visitors to the spa for many years. There is a wide variety of bars and restaurants, a selection of cafés, a creperie, an ice-cream parlour, and even a night club. The nightlife is Spanish in style, and predominantly low-key, with most evenings passed sitting outside with a glass of Rioja, watching the town go by. During the day, if you venture away from relaxing by the pool, there is the spa for some indulgent treatments, a Moorish castle and a park in town.
• Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is small pebbles. The villa is at some 700 meters altitude and on most days you can see the sea, and other coastlines on clear days! Lanjaron as ‘The Gateway to the Alpujarra’ is well situate to explore further into the Alpujarras, and that this region and it’s whitewashed Spanish villages have to offer. It also offers easy access to the beaches (25 minutes), Granada (30 minutes) with the enchanting Alhambra Palace & Flamenco, and borders the Sierra Nevada National Park with it’s Ski Resort (50 minutes to Ski Resort).
