There are endless opportunities for swimming, relaxing, beach combing, bonfires on the beach, enjoying the view or hiking and exploring on this private and peaceful ocean retreat. The sheltered harbour is excellent for sea kayaking, beginners can start off on the saltwater pond. Quiet country roads offer opportunities for long walks or biking. Other activities include: Angling, seaside and woodland hiking (eg. in the renowned Kejimikujik National Park), sailing, kayaking, whale watching, deep sea fishing, diving, bicycling, golf, visiting the superb restored historic houses and shops in Shelbourne, attending excellent theatre and musical productions, including fiddling and other traditional music.

• An easy 2 hour drive from Halifax International Airport. Approximately 1.5 hours from the ferry terminal in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, where the Cat from Bar Harbor Maine and the Scotia Prince from Portland Main dock.
• Golf: can be reached by driving for 20 minute(s). Nova Scotia has many wonderful golf courses, several of which are a short drive away. Osprey Ridge, 30 minutes away in Bridgewater, was voted the best new course in North America in its opening year.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 20 minute(s). A scenic 15 minute drive from the excellent restaurants, museums and shops of the charming village of Liverpool with 2 large full service grocery stores. The beaches and villages of the south shore, including Lunenburg, are just moments away. Experience a step back in time with the warm hospitality, unique shops (antiques, artisans, crafts, farm markets, quilts and hand hooked rugs, preserves, quality new-to-you clothing), fishing wharves, restaurants (from down-home to gourmet dining), historic churches and museums of seaside villages such as Port Medway, Mahone Bay, Mill Village. Halifax is a cosmopolitan center, with a wide array of restaurants, world class museums, shopping and is about a 1.5 hour drive away.
• Beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. Beach surface is fine sand. Located on a peninsula in the open Atlantic on Nova Scotia's south shore the property is surrounded by salt water on 3 sides with 270 degree views. The house is directly on the ocean on a small bay, offering shelter for water activities and creating a lovely white sand beach behind the causeway to the peninsula. This a very quiet and private location with only 1 other house on the peninsula. Located on a private peninsula with bold ocean frontage on 6 acres. A world class, all but deserted white sand beach is a short stroll down our lane. Since it is on a sheltered bay this is a perfect spot for sea kayaking.
