The noble residence was the love nest of Roberto Rossellini and leading actress Anna Magnani, who had an intense, sweet, passionate and stormy love story with the director. This beautiful apartment occupies part of the first floor of an ancient two storey palace (with elevator), dating back to the 19th century, which has direct access from the main road that links all of the Amalfi Coast villages
The is 100 square meters + 25 square meters of private roof terrace. Access is into the living room is paved with terracotta tiles and the modern and comfortable furnishings include a white love-seat, a flat screen TV with satellite, and a dining area for 4 guests.
The cooking area is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker and oven, a small refrigerator with freezer, an Italian-style coffee-maker and two windows with view on the inner yard.
Both bedrooms have a matrimonial bed, a flat screen TV, with an air conditioning/heating unit, a safe, and an en-suite bathroom that is decorated with sea green mosaic tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer.
From the bedrooms there is access to a Juliet balcony with a view of the sea and of the boulevard along the seafront of Maiori through a French door. There is also a large private roof terrace, which serves as an ideal setting for enchanting meals or sunset cocktails while admiring sea views. The terrace is fully equipped with another dining table suitable for 4 people, a large sun umbrella, sun loungers and external shower.
From the terrace, the view is of both the entire town and the sea.
Because of the street below some traffic noise can be heard. However, the blinds and doors are well insulated, blocking a majority of the sounds at night.
Shops, bars, restaurants, are just few feet away from the house. Staying at Casa l’Affresco is ideal for those who wish to be right in the heart of all the tourist activities, close to the beach, public transportation, and shopping places.
Access: Casa l’Affresco is situated on the first floor of an ancient building located along the main street of Maiori , the road that links all of the Amalfi Coast villages. From the inner yard , access to the apartment is up an internal flight of stairs , 30 steps long , although it is also possible to have access by elevator.
