The villa sits perched on 9 acres and offers cool breezes and panoramic views of Montego Bay. Originally built in 1930 by the editor of The New Yorker magazine, the villa has the amenities of a fine hotel and yet offers affordable luxury, privacy, and close proximity to all tourist activities, nightlife, and the airport. Within the house is a high-ceiling, grand living room with mahogany floors, a library, bar, TV room, antiques, a screened-in dining room overlooking the aquamarine waters below, and a commercial kitchen. The large terrace overlooks the large swimming pool and hot tub. Also on the grounds are a fitness center, tennis court, and tropical gardens.
Included in the rental price is a full staff consisting of a property manager to assist as Concierge, as well as an excellent cook, chambermaid(s), laundress, and gardener/poolman/caretaker. Arrangements are made so that when you arrive, dinner and breakfast will be pre-purchased. If you plan to take all 21 meals at the villa for the week, estimate between $75US-$150US per person for food and refreshments. There is no “mark-up” on grocery costs. Complementary guest laundry is provided as well as fresh linens and towels.
All within minutes are several beautiful beaches, 5 excellent golf courses, SCUBA, para-sailing, shopping, dining/dancing, plantation tours, bird watching, river rafting, horse back riding, and a casino. Area: The villa is located only 6 miles to the airport and 5 miles to the center of Montego Bay.
