Farmhouse Overlooking the Valley of Montepulciano
Sleeps six, over 1405 sq. ft. Restored in 1999, it enjoys a splendid view towards the south and west. The ground floor has three entrances, with French windows to the garden. The large kitchen is fully equipped, with oven, fridge, fireplace-barbecue and washing machine, and with a store room alongside. The kitchen leads into a two-room lounge with a Tuscan fireplace at one end, furnished with antique pieces and many sofas and armchairs. There is a small washroom on the ground floor.
Stone steps take you to the first floor, which has a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (tub) and a splendid view over the Montepulciano valley; two twin bedrooms share a bathroom with shower. Wrought iron beds, old rustic furniture, small wooden toilet mirrors, doors and fitted wardrobes have been chosen according to the Tuscan country tradition. The house is airy and bright all day long. Central heating is available.
The podere (farm) covers a 5 hectare hilly surface with olive trees and a small vineyard, from which owners get directly a Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG red wine and “extra virgin” olive oil. Some 400 meters from the bituminised road, the site remains secluded while accessible only via a private driveway. To preserve the rural character of the site the owner chose not to build a swimming pool. Parking area at the entry of the property. The houses have: drinkable water from public utility, instant hot water, telephone, washing machine, central heating.
