Family Vacation in the Chilcotin Wilderness (Konni Lake)

Nicely finished cabin situated on a very private lakefront property surrounded by beautiful poplar and spruce/fir forests. The cabin is located on pristine Konni Lake in the Nemiah Valley, in close proximity to Ts'yl-os Provincial Park and Chilco Lake. The area offers a great variety of wilderness activities including fishing, hiking, horse-back riding, canoeing, kajaking and back-country skiing.
This remote cabin is accessible year-round by 4-wheel drive (2-wheel drive during summer only) or by boat and provides modern-day amenities such as solar power, propane stove/fridge and phone.

1 Queen Futon Bed (sleeps 2) and 1 Single Futon Bed (sleeps 1). Cozy loft with wood finishing and open view to main cabin area. Windows provide views to forest and Konni Lake. Skylight provides lots of sunshine during day and great star gazing at night.
Bedroom
1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2). Bright bedroom with custom-built wall-to-wall queen-sized bed plus desk and lots of storage space. Two windows provide sunshine and views of surrounding forest.

More Information
We recommend that you check local weather and road conditions prior to arrival (this is strongly recommended for winter stays). This cabin has an outhouse only, there is no indoor bathroom.

Distances
• Williams Lake, B.C. Airport is within a 120 minute(s) drive. The Williams Lake Airport is serviced by Central Mountain Air and Pacific Coastal Airlines from Vancouver and other cities in BC and Alberta. Williams Lake offers car rentals. The drive from Williams Lake to Konni Lake takes about 2.5 hours on highway and good gravel road. Nemiah Valley is also serviced by a small charter plane from Vancouver(landing strip about 10 minutes drive from cabin). Fly-in by float plane can be arranged upon request.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 60 minute(s). Gas station and laundromat is available in nearby Nemiah Valley (20 minutes drive or boat ride). Large convenience store, gas station and restaurant at Lee's corner (about 60 minutes drive). A large variety of shopping/dining available in Williams Lake (approx. 2.5 hour drive).
• The unit is Lake front. Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is sand and rocks. There is a dock. The dock is private. There is room for 1 boats. Enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water of Konni Lake with spectacular views of the snow-capped Coast Mountains and Nemiah Mountain. The cabin comes with a large (8' x 8') private float which is anchored about 300 ft offshore (in viewing distance from the cabin). Enjoy the float for swimming, fishing or just simple relaxation. Several other beautiful natural beaches on crown land are located within 5-10min walking distance of the cabin. The cabin is located in a large bay which protects the water from the often strong westerly winds blowing from the Coast Mountains across Konni Lake. Beach Equipment: Canoe.
• Nearby Attractions: The Cabin is located on the south shore of Konni Lake (1,400 acres) in close proximity of beautiful Chilco Lake and Ts'yl-os Provincial Park. The area offers superb wilderness activities including fishing, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing/kayaking, mountaineering, and back-country skiing. The cabin is surrounded by heavily forested crown land with mixed stands of poplar, fir and spruce. A marked hiking trail leads from the cabin to the pristine subalpine meadows of Mt Tsilos.
Payments and Policies
Payment Details
2 nights rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 45 days in advance). A refundable security/damage deposit of 100 is required. If you cancel anytime, payments are refunded if the unit is re-rented.

Policies
• No smoking is allowed.
• Children are allowed and children under 16 years old stay free.
• Check in after 2:00 PM and check out before 1:00 PM. Check in/out times may be flexible upon request.
• Dogs and Cats are allowed but must be approved by the Owner.
• There is no specific quiet time policy, though guests are asked to be respectful of any neighbours.
• No Maid Service is provided during a stay.
• Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure.
