• Golf: can be reached by driving for 20 minute(s). There are two nearby public golf courses off the island (requires a water-taxi trip). Seymour Landing on Bowen Island and Eagle Harbour in West Vancouver.
• Ski lifts or Runs : can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). Taking the water-taxi into Fisherman's Cove brings you to West Vancouver and its local mountains (Cypress is closest with 20 min drive) and has quick access to the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler (1.5 hours drive).
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by driving for 45 minute(s). Closest shopping is the Caulfield Village Mall (grocery store, liquor store, Starbucks, bakery, bank, pharmacy, medical clinic, fashion) located at exit #4 off Highway 1, just minutes from Fisherman's Cove, West Vancouver.
• Beach gradient is gradual for a short distance. Beach surface is rocky. There is a moorage float/anchor. You can swim off the property in a secluded swimming hole or visit one of three public stony beaches. Look out for bird and wildlife such as eagles, murres, herons, seals, river otters, and the occasional sea lion or whale. There is a steady stream of marine traffic moving past in the form of ferries, tug boats and their log booms, and pleasure craft. Passage also has some favourite local snorkeling and S.C.U.B.A. diving. Fishing licenses and bait, as well as the water-taxi service, are available at the Esso dock in Fisherman’s Cove. This describes the two public beaches on the island (very short walk). You can easily swim off the property itself.
