The Roman Watchtower is a one bedroom apartment, part of an ancient granery - previously a Roman watch tower. The house has 5' thick stone walls. We are in a rural farming area. Located on a hillside overlooking the valley bordered by oak and chestnut forest,the area is excellent area for walking and mountain biking, it is near great trattorias and close to hill towns - convenient for touring,and an easy distance to town for shopping.
Come to write,study,create, or just live the country life in both Tuscany and Umbria; from here you can comfortably tour central Italy while living in an authentic country home which includes the company of one very friendly, very special kitty. All who come to stay must be prepared to be "guests" of Missy, she is the real owner of the house and has full run of the house. She is kind and loving and especially appreciated by the single people who come to stay in my home. Here you can live like we do,not like a tourist. If you have not traveled or lived abroad, this may not be the best place for you, there is limited assistance -but if you are flexible, adaptable, love new experiences, culture and arts...this is for you.
This is not a typical rental, it is a very interesting small home providing a true foreign experience;come and stay in a real home.
