And when you come back from a very cold day, you will be able to enjoy the luxurious and relaxing life style this property offers, hot tub, sauna, pool table and possibly end your day watching a movie (from available cable movie channels) on flat plasma 50 inch screen TV. Summer activity: You can start your day with having your morning coffee on a spacious water front balcony with breath taking views of Tabor lake and mountain. Then you can walk down the stairs from the balcony to your private water front backyard, where you could relax on a swinging recline sofa, or have a sun path of an available sunbed. There is a lot of ready cut wood and your own fire pit, if you like to enjoy setting by the fire when you come back from swimming, if you feel a bit cold, or if it is a bit chilly day. In summer, Tabor lake does warm up so you can enjoy all varieties of water sports and activity, including swimming, or fishing (lots of trout fish) either from your private dock or using the available kayak or paddle boat (included in the rent with no extra charge). If you wish to rent a boat or a jet ski (available from town), you have the chance to enjoy boating, tubing, jet skiing, or water skiing.

    Nicely finished cabin situated on a very private lakefront property surrounded by beautiful poplar and spruce/fir forests. The cabin is located on pristine Konni Lake in the Nemiah Valley, in close proximity to Ts'yl-os Provincial Park and Chilco Lake. The area offers a great variety of wilderness activities including fishing, hiking, horse-back riding, canoeing, kajaking and back-country skiing. This remote cabin is accessible year-round by 4-wheel drive (2-wheel drive during summer only) or by boat and provides modern-day amenities such as solar power, propane stove/fridge and phone. We recommend that you check local weather and road conditions prior to arrival (this is strongly recommended for winter stays). This cabin has an outhouse only, there is no indoor bathroom.

WiFi is available, using your own tablet or computer etc. Decor is in a comfortable country style, with northern artifacts and furs decorating the walls of the high ceiling living room. There is a sun room with wicker furniture and dining set, an attractive place for meals, overlooking the lake and the gardens. A second sunroom overlooks the lake, it has a double futon for extra sleeping space, also toys, games and puzzles and excercise equipment are stored there. Wildlife may be seen at any time of the year, moose, deer, black bear, fox and marten have all crossed this property at some time. We have a wide variety of bird life. Loons and other water fowl return to the lake every year. The TV reception is not great, we think that is an advantage. We have a large selection of videos and some DVD's. There is a Video/DVD rental store about a 30 minute drive away. There is a selection of indoor games, and a badminton net and rackets for games on the lawn. Prince George is 30 kms. Away, and movie theatres and fine dining are available there. There is a golf course about 2 kms along the road, and an outdoor drive-in movie theatre and go cart track about 12 kms. In the same direction. Eskers Park is about 4 kms from the house on the other side of the lake, and has several pleasant hiking trails, and if you are really into hiking there are many local hikes into the hills to the east of Prince George which can be done in a few hours or all day if you wish, and relax in the hot tub when you return. This is an ideal spot for a family holiday, or just to unwind by the lake.

    Cabin is on 2.5 acres on beautiful Lac la Hache in Cariboo Country. Although secluded and private it is only a few meters off hwy 97. Our main home is on the same property but totally separate, guests have total privacy if that is what they wish. Guests have access to the lake, dock, kayaks, and great Kokanee fishing. Although there is only one bedroom, there is a king foam mattress for small children, 2 maximum. We are happy to talk about your pet as well. We have 2 lovely dogs, a chocolate lab, Rosie, and a Yorkie, Nikki. Cabin has no electronics, no phone but cell service is good. The closest store for gas and groceries is 5 minutes away and 100 mile House is 20 minutes away. A vehicle is obviously necessary. Famous Lac la Hache bakery is 5 minutes away and is an unavoidable twice weekly trip. It is a total joy to sit on the balcony overlooking the lake at sunset with your favourite person.

Rearguard Falls, Overlander Falls, Robson Park and Mount Robson are just a few of the places that you can go that are just a short car ride from the Chalet. Jasper Park with all its amenities is an hour and fifteen minutes away. There are many activities that you can do in Jasper Park and come home to your secluded Chalet in the mountains. The property is unique as it is very private, yet it is only a minute away from highway 16. There are walking, hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails right out the back door. Just a short drive away in any direction you will find longer hiking trails, tracked cross country skiing trails, snowshoeing trails, heli-hiking, heli-skiing, Cat skiing, golfing, horseback riding, dog-sledding and fishing. There are also a wide variety of areas for the ATV rider to explore in either direction. If you are interested in White Water Rafting there are a number of companies that operate in the area and have a variety of rafting levels to suit everyone.
