The Studio and I call it like that for lack of other words, is absolutely huge, more than 180 m2, and has everything you may need during your stay. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster, a coffee maker. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils, a hair dryer and a DVD player. The bedding arrangement consists of a KING SIZE bed (1.80 X 2 meters) and two single beds (0.90 X 1.90 meters) which are only there if needed , the rest of the time they are stored in another part of the house. There is Wifi access so you can bring your portable computer along and use it even in the garden. The garden is yours during your stay.     Nestled beneath the craggy cliffs of a ancient fossil reef, are the villages and hamlets of the Cariatiz. The cottage is part of the farmhouse which has been beautifully restored and is situated in the tiny, sleepy hamlet that is Los Josefos. Here our neighbours still bake bread in the traditional domed bread oven and farm almonds like generations before them. Guests have the use of a BBQ, large sun terrace, beautiful garden and Swim/Spar pool, with great views of the surrounding mountains. After dark stargazers will be delighted with the clarity of the night sky. NOTE: Summer time in rural Spain can lead to water shortages which means the mains water is frequently turned off, we have the unique facility of back-up water tanks so our quests are not inconvenienced. We have the well known Circuito DE Almeria a short 15 minute ride away, where all the major UK trackday organisers and Spanish companies run events through out the year. There are guided tours of the caves from easy going for beginners to more advanced for those with experience. Equipment can be provided by the centre. Granada and The Alhambra Palace is a must to visit at only 2 hours distance by motorway.     Nestled beneath the craggy cliffs of a ancient fossil reef, are the villages and hamlets of the Cariatiz. The cottage is part of the farmhouse which has been beautifully restored and is situated in the tiny, sleepy hamlet that is Los Josefos. Here our neighbours still bake bread in the traditional domed bread oven and farm almonds like generations before them. Guests have the use of a BBQ, large sun terrace, beautiful garden and Swim/Spar pool, with great views of the surrounding mountains. After dark stargazers will be delighted with the clarity of the night sky. NOTE: Summer time in rural Spain can lead to water shortages which means the mains water is frequently turned off, we have the unique facility of back-up water tanks so our quests are not inconvenienced. We have the well known Circuito DE Almeria a short 15 minute ride away, where all the major UK trackday organisers and Spanish companies run events through out the year. Enjoy glorious scenery in beautiful warm sunshine throughout the winter months as you discover the peace and tranquillity. There are many largely undiscovered walks in the area. Discover too the smells of lavender & thyme as you walk amongst the mountain herbs & flowers, particularly Jan - May. The house is actually situated on a long marked circular walk. Note: Most walks are un signposted so a good compass and map reading skills are useful. However if required we can arrange guided walks for groups. The area surrounding is fabulous cycling country for the enthusiast ! There are miles of quiet roads crossing open countryside with gorgeous views of the heath land, mountains, almond, olive, orange and lemon groves. Its often hard going so strictly for the fit and adventurous. The mountain biker too has many hill and mountain tracks to choose from. The Enormous Sorbas cave system is nearby. There are guided tours of the caves from easy going for beginners to more advanced for those with experience. Equipment can be provided by the centre. Granada and The Alhambra Palace is a must to visit at only 2 hours distance by motorway.
