The parish also offers several leisure areas like the Prainha Forest Natural Park with endemic vegetation, children’s playground and barbeque and meeting points. You can also watch some wild animals like deer. It also offers wonderful panoramic views over the craggy slopes and of the nearby São Jorge Island. Road access is fairly good and there is a bus stop at approximately 800 meters. There are some supply points, providing bread and other goods. The nearest medical care service is located in the council centre, at Medical and Health Centre, 12 km from Praínha.
