Directly in front of our home is the beautiful Caribbean Ocean.
In the late afternoon you can enjoy a beverage of your choice and watch the sun shine on Cozumel! You can easily see the cruise ships at dock in Cozumel but with binoculars they really stand out!
There is so much activity on the water. We really enjoy reading a book or just sitting and enjoying the view beside the ocean. Words really can't describe the experience!
• Cancun Airport is within a 45 minute(s) drive. We are located about 30 to 45 minutes from Cancun Airport. Playa Del carmen is very easy to find and the drive is an enjoyable Mexican experience!
• Golf: can be reached by walking for 10 minute(s). There are 1 golf course(s) nearby.
• Shopping and Dining: can be reached by walking for 10 minute(s). There is lots of shopping and dining in Playa del Carmen. 5th Avenue is where the action is. The variety of food and shops is tremendous. This is the spot to be on a hot evening and looking for entertainment. There is also a new Sam's Club, a new shop called "Mega", a full service grocer called "Chedraui" and a brand new shopping mall that is the largest in Latin America that has just opened. You can purchase food products with confidence in Playa Del Carmen!
• Ocean is located less than 1 minute away. Beach gradient is gradual for a long distance. Beach surface is fine sand. The beautiful white sandy beach is just out front of our house. There are no homes directly in front of our house and access to the ocean is wide open. There are no natural reefs in the ocean in the immediate area of Playa Del Carmen. This causes the sand to move along the water line. The hotel zone is just to the south of our house and the hotels have built man made barriers to keep the sand in the swimming areas. The beaches are public in Mexico and you will have free access to these great swimming spots! Beach Equipment: Rentals Nearby.
• Nearby Attractions: The outdoor attractions in the immediate area are spectacular!
Xcaret is a 5-10 minute drive from the house. This is a full day attraction to really enjoy it! Has some great snorkeling and swimming spots, some great educational spots on the Mayan history and more.
Xelha is south of Playa and in our opinion a must see when in the area. The snorkeling is great and safe if you're not a strong swimmer! They make the best mango margarita we've ever had!
Tulum is just down the road and is a great place to go to experience the Mayan ruins.
There are also lots of other things to see and do. We try to check out something new on each trip. The skydivers land on the beach right in front of our house!
50% of the rent is required to complete the booking (balance due 45 days in advance). A credit card is required for a security/damage deposit. If you cancel less than 45 days prior, there is no refund.
